Want Equality? Send A Holiday Card to Lawmakers!

Make sure state lawmakers know they aren’t forgotten this holiday season by sending them a greeting card asking them to protect your gay and transgender friends from discrimination in employment, housing and education.

The “Add the Words,Idaho” campaign is asking people from around the state to take a few minutes and spread a little  holiday magic by including Idaho’s eight republican legislative leaders on your greeting card mailing list.

Participating is easy, just get eight holiday themed greeting cards and respectfully ask them to support the effort to add the words, “gender identity and sexual orientation” to the Idaho human rights law.

As you may or may not know, for the last six years the LGBTQIA community in Idaho has tried to get a bill that would include those words introduced in the legislature. Each year the bill has stalled without a committee hearing. This year the “Add the Words,Idaho” campaign is asking everyone to get involved by sending sticky notes to their lawmakers and to the campaign for display throughout the legislative session.

Help make sure you LGBTQIA friends, family and neighbors aren’t forgotten this holiday by helping state lawmakers remember them.

Here are their names and addresses:

–Senate President Pro-Tem Brent Hill 1010 S. 2nd E., Rexburg, 83440
